Growth engineer (6 years dev, 5 years marketing). I help people/companies that get attention make more money.
I'm passionate about helping businesses make more money, I love real estate and being an Airbnb host.
I used to be a stud-welder in oil refineries across North America including Texas, Louisiana, Washington, and Canada. I loved the money but hated the work, and I dreamed of being able to use my mind and not my body.
I tried a SaaS managerial role, starting up an ecommerce business, and handling the marketing for the family tile installation business. But it was designing and developing WYSIWYG sites that got me interested in web.
Fortunately, my mother-in-law convinced me to attend a bootcamp where a passion for JavaScript was born.
In 2019, I took the first role offered to me at a boutique marketing firm in Midtown Manhattan where I built custom WordPress themes.
In 2020, I was hired at another marketing firm to maintain dozens of hardcoded PHP sites and dozens more that used DatoCMS.
In 2021, I was given the opportunity to hone my ReactJS skills by building a greenfield project for TimeTap.
Since then, I've repositioned myself as a Growth Engineer where I focus on helping my employer and other small business owners increase their conversion rate. I use data as well as my own understand of funnels to increase sales and grow the bottom line.
